Endolift is a minimally invasive laser procedure applied under the skin with fine fibres, and a comfortable result depends largely on the recovery process. In this article we explain, in plain language and for people who have already decided on the procedure, what to expect day by day after Endolift.

First 24 Hours: The Day of the Procedure

Mild sensitivity, a feeling of warmth and some swelling in the treated area are expected right after the procedure. The aim in this early period is to leave the area undisturbed.

  • Applying a cold compress as recommended by your doctor helps ease the swelling.
  • Resting with your head slightly elevated on the first night can reduce oedema.
  • Avoid pressing or rubbing the area and refrain from strenuous activity.
Days 2–3: When Swelling and Sensitivity Are Most Noticeable

Swelling and occasional mild bruising usually peak around these days. This is a natural response of the tissue to the delivered energy and gradually subsides in most people.

Swelling after Endolift varies from person to person; it usually decreases noticeably within a few days, while the final result settles over the following weeks.

If you want to learn in more detail how the procedure works and who it is suitable for, our article on face and neck tightening with Endolift laser helps you see the process as a whole.

Week 1: Returning to Daily Life

Towards the end of the first week a significant part of the swelling subsides and many people can return to their daily routine. Since the skin may still be sensitive in this period, it is important to follow a gentle care routine.

Weeks 2–4: Collagen Comes Into Play

The main effect of Endolift depends on collagen production that gradually increases as the tissue is stimulated. For this reason the result becomes visible not immediately but gradually over the weeks, and the process continues to mature in the following months.

What to Pay Attention to Throughout the Process
  • Sun protection: Use a high-factor sunscreen during recovery and avoid intense sun exposure.
  • Heat and exertion: Stay away from saunas, steam baths and heavy exercise in the first days.
  • Care recommendations: Do not go beyond the products and applications recommended by your doctor.
  • Follow-ups: Keeping the recommended follow-up appointments is important for a healthy progression of the process.

The importance of sun protection during recovery is similar to the approach in other laser procedures; the recommendations in our post-laser treatment care article will also be useful on this subject.
